write my paper! How are standardized tests biased against students of color? They make these major claims without even so much as quantifying them. The only way I can imagine is that students of color are more likely to be poor and live in poor areas, where the schools in their districts are of low quality. But that's not a bias against their skin color. That's just incidental. The test itself is not biased against them; they are rather just ill-prepared for it, and not BECAUSE of the color of their skin but because of historical difficulties and prejudices against their predecessors that ultimately resulted in their living situation.
