Life, dedicated server and no connect to Beta Server

Hi,

I've been having fun playing this on Ubuntu 10.10

A couple of questions.

Is this project still being developed ?

I'd like to run a dedicated server. Is this possible and if so, how ?

I have been trying to join the Beta servers but continuously get no connection and am unable to join. I can join other servers if someone has one running, but not the Betas. Do I need any port forwarding or open ports ???

Hi,

just start the "server_ded" executeable to start a dedicated server. to configure the server edit the xml files "config_server.xml" and "config_common.xml".

to make the server accessible you have to forward the listening port (default: 23700) on your router (internet access device)

@development: we currently have no time left to further develop ZB, but it's open source now and anyone can contribute

kind regards,
Michael
