Intel onboard Linux not possible

With Intel onboard you get this error:

9.4.2008, 13:25:22 : log session started
Build Apr 5 2008 - 12:48:30
Debug classes: -
Version A1.00
Vendor: Tungsten Graphics, Inc
Renderer: Mesa DRI Intel(R) G33 20061017 x86/MMX/SSE2
GL Version: 1.3 Mesa 7.0.3
Max. Texture Units: 8
Max. Varying Floats: 139187096
Max. Vertex Attribs: 16
Max. Uniforms in VS: -1208649638
Max. Uniforms in FS: -1078711848
GLSL language version: n.a.
Shader Model: 2

At least GLSL version 1.10 is required to run this program, but only 0.0 is present.

Could you please use precompiled shaders without the need of GLSL to run it on more cards with Linux?

Hello!

I am sorry, but at the moment we do not have the resources to make this a priority. In addition, we lack a computer with Intel onboard graphics to perform any testing. Perhaps this will change if more people request it.

Well a bit bad, because it has SM2 like mentioned on the website, only GLSL is missing. On Linux only ati (fglrx) or nvidia binary drivers have got GLSL support, none of the open source ones.

I got the same problem on Windows. Could you send a link, where can I (we) download GLSL 1.10?

Thanks

Hi!

You cannot just "download GLSL", it's a feature that your graphics driver must support. It depends on the manufacturer but also on the driver version and graphics card type whether GLSL 1.2 is available.
Zero Ballistics is a game targeted at gaming PCs, and currently we simply do not have the resources to rework the shaders and make them work without GLSL. Sorry.

Then it seems, this game won't work here :(

Hello,

all players with intel onboard graphics could try our new title "Full Metal Soccer" (http://www.fullmetalsoccer.com). We have reduced the system requirements for FMS and it does not need GLSL anymore (due to the lack of a full-scale terrain).

Give it a try,
Michael.

Your version is
Renderer: Mesa DRI Intel(R) G33 20061017 x86/MMX/SSE2
GL Version: 1.3 Mesa 7.0.3

OpenGL version string: 2.0 Mesa 7.0.4
supports GLSL but the game does not start either complaining that GL_ARB_vertex_buffer_object, is missing while its present according to glxinfo
So that is not true that only nvidia and ati drivers support it.
